Trans Unity Coalition offers free CPR training to those who identify as part of the transgender community (trans, non-binary, etc), under training by a licensed CPR instructor.
CPR training includes all current levels under the American Heart Association: BLS (Basic Life Support), Heartsaver CPR AED, Heartsaver Total (OSHA), Heartsaver for K-12. This includes both initial and recertification training.
We do not offer first aid courses at this time, but will in the future.
We can also certify CPR training under the American Heart Association, meaning a person can get their CPR certification card (valid for two years), for an at-cost price of $9.50/student and $10/course. This is an AHA filing requirement and we do not profit from this in any manner.
Trans Unity Coalition accepts donations for these courses, but we do not impose any additional costs (training is free, certification is at-cost).
Since third-party options for CPR training can cost anywhere between $50-$80 or more, this is a cost-effective alternative and are happy to provide it. We can work with the student to meet or otherwise accommodate them.
